I Am First Needs-Based Scholarship
The I Am First Needs-Based Scholarship is for first-generation, full-time students with 30+ credits that have a demonstrated financial need.
Requirements:
-Must be a first-generation college student (neither parent/guardian has a U.S. bachelors degree)
-Must have 30+ credits towards their degree completed
-Must be a U.S. resident
-Must have a at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA
-Must be a full-time, bachelor’s degree seeking student (12-18 credits hrs per semester)
-Must complete the FAFSA
-Incomplete applications will not be accepted
-Must have a complete, updated, locked graduation plan by your UVU advisor in Wolverine Track
Students MUST have all elements of the application submitted and completed (complete graduation plan locked by your UVU advisor, FAFSA-including verification) BEFORE the application deadline to be considered for an award.
Students with a high-demonstrated unmet need will be prioritized
***Awarded students will be required to meet with an I Am First Mentor.
