Melissa G. McQuarrie Endowed Scholarship

R. Scott and Melissa G. McQuarrie established the Melissa G. McQuarrie Endowed Scholarship to benefit Utah Valley University students majoring in English and/or education, with first preference given to single parents.
Scott and Melissa McQuarrie live in Provo and have four children. When he was young, Scott’s family founded Downey Savings & Loan in California. Along with his brother Brent, Scott owned Seven Peaks, a water and amusement park in Provo. They were responsible for the development of nearly 51 acres of land on the east foothills of Provo.

Scott is currently the director of real estate and development at the Utah Regional Investment Fund. He has over 25 years of experience in real estate development, project management, and business management and is respected in the development community for project quality and advanced building techniques. He is involved with several private foundations supports education.
