Fawn Walker Endowed Scholarship
The Fawn Walker Endowed Scholarship was created in June 1994 shortly after Ms. Walker’s death. The endowed fund was created to first benefit descendants of Martin Earl Walker and Jeannette Oreen Walker, with any remaining balance to be awarded to female students in need of financial assistance.
Fawn Walker was born in April 1927 and passed away of cancer in June of 1993. She remained single throughout her life. She wanted her wealth to be given to those who would use it wisely and for it to benefit those who are seeking further education. Although the fund was established to benefit descendants of Fawn’s parents, Martin Earl Walker and Jeannette Oreen Walker, it also benefits female students of good academic standing who are in need of financial assistance. The scholarship is intended to help students on their academic journey and fulfills Fawn’s desire of assisting those who make the most with what they are given.
