Deborah Bingham Annual Scholarship
The Deborah Bingham Annual Scholarship was established by Marc & Deborah Bingham in 2007 to benefit Utah Valley University students in need of financial assistance, with first priority given to single parents with dependent children.
Debbie Bingham currently manages Blue Diamond Capital, alongside her husband, as the executive vice president. Prior to this, she was the vice president of sales and business development for Phone Directories Company, a company she and her husband, Marc, owned for 37 years. She was chair of the UVU Foundation Board from 2010 to 2014 and, as such, served on the UVU Board of Trustees. She is involved with wildlife groups that promote responsible hunting and wildlife conservation in the western states, and she and her husband enjoy hunting and the outdoors. Debbie was the first woman in Utah and the 42nd woman in the world to achieve the grand slam of North American wild mountain sheep, hunting four different species of sheep.
The Binghams also made a significant gift to UVU for the Science Building, where the atrium is named in their honor, and they made a generous gift in support of the Roots of Knowledge art installation in Fulton Library.
