David W Johnson Family Endowed Scholarship

David W. Johnson established the David W Johnson Family Endowed Scholarship in 2008 to benefit Utah Valley University students enrolled in the Technology Management or Informational Systems program.
David W. Johnson joined UVU in 2001 and served as associate dean of the School of Technology & Computing and as chair of the department of construction technologies & technology management.

Johnson has both industry and academic experience. He worked as an information scientist at the Upjohn Company, and he taught at Western Michigan University, International College, and Florida Gulf Coast University prior to coming to UVU. His expertise includes strategic planning, enterprise computing, systems analysis and design database management, and project management.

Johnson received a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering and Business from The University of Michigan, a Master of Science in Mathematics and Statistics from Western Michigan University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Brigham Young University.

Johnson is a member of several professional organizations, including the Project Management Institute, the Association of Information Systems, and the Association of Information Technology Professionals. He likes to work in his yard and garden, listen to good music, read church books, and watch TV (especially college sports).
