Bryce & Lorraine Pollard Endowed Scholarship

Bryce and Lorraine Pollard established the Bryce & Lorraine Pollard Endowed Scholarship with a charitable remainder unitrust. The scholarship benefits students entering Utah Valley University from the programs in the Center for Personal and Career Development.

Bryce Pollard was born in November of 1930 in Minidoka County, Idaho. He married Lorraine Dudley Pollard and made his living as a self-taught painter. Throughout his life, he owned and operated three different businesses: Star Printing in Tacoma Washington, Blauvelt Printing Co., and Paragon Printing. He was very talented in his trade and was well respected by his friends and family. His daughter, Darla Tooley, was quoted as saying, “Still it is impressive to me that he taught himself this trade and he provided so very well for our family.” Bryce passed away in 1996 and Lorraine in 2001, but their influence continues to impact Utah Valley University students willing to take the initiative to start a career.
