Brighton A Life Annual Scholarship
Kevin and Bethany Tenney established the Brighton A Life Annual Scholarship in 2016 to benefit Utah Valley University students, with preference given to applicants who have recently (within the last year) experienced the death of a close relative.
The family of a 4-year-old Utah girl who died from complications due to RSV, croup, and pneumonia is keeping her memory alive through a college scholarship. To raise money for the scholarship, the family partnered with the Strikes for Kids foundation and Utah Jazz player Alec Burks.
“Sometimes when you have tragedies, you don’t look further in life. You don’t go to college, you don’t take the next step. So, hopefully [the scholarship] will make someone want to,” said Bethany Tenny, Brighton’s mother.
