ASL Deaf Studies Scholarship
Thomas J. Thomas established the ASL Deaf Studies Scholarship in 2014 to benefit Utah Valley University students majoring in ASL Deaf Studies. Applicants must have documentation of neurological damage.
About UVU’s ASL Program:
Students who study American Sign Language will find increased employability in a range of professions. UVU’s Deaf Studies program provides students with a historical, cultural, and linguistic foundation. From this foundation students are prepared to become certified interpreters or ASL and deaf studies teachers, to pursue graduate work in deaf education and a variety of other disciplines, and to engage in any number of professional fields related to deafness.
