Andrew and Cathy Shimberg Annual Scholarship
Andrew C. and Cathy L. Shimberg established the Andrew and Cathy Shimberg Annual Scholarship in 2015 to benefit single parents with children enrolled in the Wee Care Center. Preference is given to students with extreme financial need, with special consideration given to applicants whose family and work responsibilities prohibit full-time student status.
Andrew Shimberg is the chief executive officer at VitalSmarts. His article “How to Influence Change” in the fall 2008 edition of MIT’s Sloan Management Review won the Beckhard Memorial award for the most outstanding article on planned change and organizational development. Previously, Shimberg served as president of nGen Talent, a division of the nGenera Corporation. Earlier in his career, he also served as a managing director for The Concours Group. He is a researcher, speaker, and advisor to executive teams moving through challenging and complex organizational change. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Duke University.
Andrew and Cathy have one daughter and reside in Provo. Cathy serves on the UVU Women’s Success Center Advisory Board, and Andrew has served on the Woodbury School of Business National Advisory Board. The couple has also given to the UVU Women’s Success Center Scholarship.
