ABRA Auto Body & Glass LP Scholarship for Automotive Technologies

ABRA Auto Body & Glass LP established the ABRA Auto Body & Glass LP Scholarship for Automotive Technologies in 2015 to benefit Utah Valley University students enrolled in the Automotive Technologies program, with preference given to students in the Collision Repair program.
History:
In 1984, Roland D. Benjamin co-founded ABRA Auto Body. Located in Fridley, Minn., the first location featured modern high-tech equipment, a highly trained staff, and a clean, customer-friendly environment. From the first day, ABRA’s team set out to provide quality repairs and superior customer service.
ABRA originally was an acronym for Auto Body Refinishers of America. In 1989, an auto glass operation was added and the business became ABRA Auto Body & Glass. Today, ABRA stands for Auto Body Repair of America.
ABRA’s approach to business quickly earned the support of vehicle owners and major insurance companies. This near-instant validation of ABRA’s business model led to the opening of a second facility only eight months after the first shop opened.
By 1992, ABRA continued to add auto body repair services. Paintless Dent Removal (PDR) offered consumers low-cost repairs of dings or dents. ABRA’s Paintless Dent Removal Division became a significant part of ABRA’s annual sales. With the rapid acceptance of PDR, ABRA created a traveling Catastrophe Team to support vehicle owners and major insurance companies after severe hailstorms.
ABRA has continued to open new locations. Financially sound, the company funds growth primarily from operating profits.
